Exclusive Interview with Nick Riguardi, Founder Of The Rooftop Tree Band

Music is everywhere! A cultural heritage which nearly every nation has in common, is the music. We have various genres and everybody can find his type of music. Music is with us for every mood. We listen to music in our highs and lows. When we are in a good and happy mood, we sing and dance along with the music. When we are tired and sad we fall with the songs and their lyrics. Everyone likes to hum and sing. Our life sounds much better when there is music playing.
Now, I have the chance to present you somebody who gives us the gift of his music and enriches the music scene with his Band.
I have been following and listening to ROOFTOP TREE BAND for some months. Today I got an opportunity to sit down with Nick Riguardi ( An artist and Businessman) who is the founder of this band. Nick also has over 1 million views on world starship hop and was featured on Hot 97.
Hello Nicholas, we’re excited to interview you and share your story with our readers. Please tell us how you got started.
About a year ago I decided to make the dream happen to start my own band. I played music in the church for the last 5 years. But I have always been writing songs by myself and was trying to move beyond the church to produce something universal for everyone.
I’m trying to make this band a medium to communicate my ideas with the world and make everybody feel good.
Technically the church made me a motivated musician because learning the songs for the church made me disciplined. In the church I got the chance to sing for others & learn the guitar. Working with the group always kept me in check to be the best version of myself.
The Rooftop Tree Band, funded and located in New York City is a collective of artists who are trying to spread organic synchronized feel-good music. We all met in New York and slowly grew together with the music we share. The Rooftop Tree Band became like a big family for me.
What is the hardest song that you had to cover in your whole musical career?
Closer to the sun from Slightly Stoopid is the hardest song I learned.
What do you prefer to sing in the studio or live?
My favorite is to perform live on a stage. I like to sing when there is a listener because I feel like I have an opportunity to share my work with them. A life concert shares so much more than just music. The vibes, the mood and the people! It feels like being in a bubble of perfection. For me, music is a communication style. You want someone to hear and respond. Being with my band and the audience is a beautiful feeling and gives us so much back, this is why I prefer singing live.
