And that does not only refer to regular jobs, but also to those who work in the state office. Such a story is the case of Tiffany Cartwright – a former Detroit judge.
Cartwright is a true example of how priorities, hobbies, and love towards something greater than your job and what have you been studying and working for your entire life can bring a positive change. However, for her, this was not an easy way. She did get to know this the hard way. Her unique and inspiring story starts with her suddenly losing her job. Due to the budget cuts that happened back in 2012, Cartwright lost her job as the Administrative Law Judge in the State of Michigan. Suddenly, nothing made sense and she was forced to look for another one. With her previous career employment as an Assistant Attorney General and Administrative Law Judge, she found it extremely hard and challenging to find a job in her professional area of expertise. However, sometimes, thinking outside the box as well as looking into something that you would love to do and working towards that hidden ambition can deliver amazing results.
At the time, she did not know that she had a backup plan that would turn into a successful beauty business. One day, while listening to her brother’s radio talk show, about starting businesses, she was reminded that she could also do something similar. Because of her daughter’s eczema, she had been mixing different natural ingredients into skin solution products. Sometimes she would gift her girlfriends and friends with these homemade remedies. That was the clear sign and the start of her successful dominance and presence in the beauty industry. She started and founded her business, Amarra Beauty Products, with a special line of body scrubs G.L.A.M.
G.L.A.M body scrubs are natural body care products, with ingredients mixed solely by Cartwright. This base was more than enough to catch the attention of Shark Tank, Target, and Walmart, leading to investments in her line. Besides this beauty endeavor, Cartwright is also working to include women victimized by domestic violence and human trafficking as part of her new manufacturing facility in Detroit. Tiffany and her brand are definitely on the path to great success in more ways than one!
