How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Back in 2020 I wanted to combine all my passions (Audio Engineering, Marketing, and Podcasts) into what Briton Media is now. I love helping people and building brands, so it came naturally to start. I remember I was in the parking lot of this 9-5 call center on break on the phone with my friend Colby talking about ideas for Briton Media and what services would be offered. I also want to shoutout my friend Jay in Burbank CA, longtime high school friend that made write down the business plan, and structure everything so it would grow on a solid foundation. Nothing great was ever built without a team, I consider myself thankful to have a few real friends that don’t tell me what I want to hear but tell me what I need to hear.
What was your mission at the outset?
Honestly, at the very beginning I remember my only mission was getting my name out there. It still is my mission. I’m someone who is never satisfied even with the amount of success we have reached now; I feel that it’s just the beginning. I tell my team all the time that we aren’t even close to where I want us to be with our marketing. There is nothing harder than getting off the ground as a small business, it’s never easy. The best things in life shouldn’t be easy to get, you get what you put into it. Since the start our goals have obviously changed, but our mission has stayed the same. To help the world launch their podcasts so they can talk about their passion and connect with those in the community.
What service(s) or product(s) do you offer/manufacture?
We service clients all over the world with the best podcast services to grow their shows and put them in a position where they can monetize their work. We like the phrase spending on our services as an investment because at the end of the day we are helping thousands of podcasters make a living off their work. We offer editing, marketing, social media management, web design, promotional videos, coaching, ect. Towards the end of 2022 it’s a goal of mine to add some corporate clients to our portfolio with our new corporate podcast package available at britonmedia.com/corporate
How do you advertise your business?
I’ve always been around sales and marketing, so I know exactly how to get people’s attention, to keep it, and see why their life improves when they do business with us. With that being said we make sure we are seen everywhere often. Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Clubhouse, Tiktok. Our social media team makes sure we post at least four times a day to provide tips to podcasters and promote our services.
To what do you attribute your success?
I think it was being raised by great parents who always made me see opportunity. When it’s in your DNA, you can’t help but be addicted to success. Getting bigger so we can help more people is my number one priority. My fiancé India was the one who saw that light in me before I started Briton Media and encouraged me to put that obsession and drive into a vehicle so we can be able to help people and get known. I also want to shout out the people who didn’t believe in me years ago because they sparked this endless bonfire inside of me to prove them wrong and live a life that I could never imagine was possible.
Have you ever turned down a client?
At the start, I took everyone. I had to, we were in a position where any client was necessary for our team to grow and reinvest in the company. Fast forward two years in, and now our team doesn’t have to take everyone, rather quality over quantity. We choose podcasts that we think are going to really benefit from our services, and if we aren’t the best fit for them, we will let them know. We take pride in the work that we do, and we believe that if we do a great job for a podcast, they are going to tell their friends and family. Do you know someone with a podcast?
