Accomac Technologies Launches First Green Hybrid Heavy Lift Drone

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.— (Aril 9, 2024)—Accomac Technologies, Inc. is excited to launch the Ekocopter 1000, a fourth-generation precision unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform. With its powerful lift and payload capabilities of over 1000 pounds, the UAV drone is an innovative game-changer for all industries. Accomac’s endeavor is geared toward sustainable farming applications and multi-industry needs that promise to redefine the affordable heavy-lift drone industry.

“Our company’s remarkable journey began more than six years ago, “Founders Tim Costello and Fraser Bishop said. “The marketplace is flooded with cheap software, overly expensive, complicated, and useless drones. We wanted to design something different, affordable, user-friendly, convenient, and robust. So, we assembled a team of experts and engineers to create the world’s first green hybrid UAV platform. Ekocopter is not like anything out there!”

The Ekocopter has eight dual blades and is designed as an aerial applicator with dual 15-gallon tanks. It can fly up to 80 minutes with full dual tanks on a single charge and has one of the smallest carbon footprints for a UAV of its size. The drone offers precision spraying, eco-friendly operations, and automated hands-free functions.

Precision Spraying utilizes a dedicated hands-off system for targeted applications and other uses.  Federal Aviation Administration approval is pending. This system helps to minimize waste and improve crop yields.

The UAV drone’s eco-friendly operations are a plus. The Ekocopter is powered by a hybrid of hydrogen fuel cells and batteries. This technology creates a more efficient and sustainable next-generation power train. The drone’s power system reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and operational costs by 60 percent.

Ekocopter is fully automated, that can operate beyond the visual line of sight. A dedicated satellite and ground stations guide it. The drone’s gimble is the UAV’s eyes. It also provides real-time monitoring and data collection.

Accomac invites farmers, agricultural professionals, and the heavy drone industry to explore the potential of the Ekocopter. Embark on this sustainable green future by visiting.
