Rico Handjaja - Finding Your True Path, Living With Passion, and Lifting Others Along the Way

Some conversations stay with you long after they end. Speaking with Rico Handjaja feels exactly like that—calming, honest, and gently awakening. He doesn’t try to overwhelm you with complicated theories or dramatic claims. Instead, he talks about life in a way that feels relatable and beautifully simple: know who you are, follow what lights you up, and help people as you rise.

This interview captures that spirit—his clarity, his wisdom, and the quiet strength behind his message.

Rico, you often talk about the importance of finding one’s true path. What does that actually mean to you?

Rico Handjaja: Finding your true path isn’t about chasing a perfect life—it’s about recognizing what feels true in your heart. Most people are living according to expectations, obligations, or fear. Your true path begins the moment you stop pretending. It’s when you choose honesty over approval. It’s when you allow yourself to grow instead of forcing yourself to fit. When someone steps into that alignment, everything becomes more natural. Energy flows, decisions feel clearer, and life stops feeling like a constant fight.

Many people say they don’t know what their passion is. How do you guide someone who feels lost or disconnected from what they love?

Rico Handjaja: Passion isn’t always loud. Sometimes it whispers. People think passion should strike like lightning, but often it begins quietly—from curiosity, from the things that give you peace, from what you can do for hours without feeling drained.
My advice is simple: pay attention to what makes you feel alive. If something lights you up, even a little, follow it. It might grow into your calling. And remember, passion is not found through pressure—it’s found through presence. Give yourself space to explore without judgment.

You often share messages about helping others. Why is that so important in the journey of personal growth?

Rico Handjaja: Because a life lived only for yourself becomes very small. Helping others is not about charity—it’s about connection. When you support someone’s growth, you grow too. When you lift someone, you lift your own spirit. We are at our strongest when we understand that our success doesn’t have to come at the cost of someone else’s.

I always say: If you can be a source of light, even in a small way, then you have already lived with purpose.

Many people struggle with balancing ambition and inner peace. What does living “the best life possible” mean to you?

Rico Handjaja: The best life is not the most impressive life. It’s the most aligned one. Living your best life means waking up with peace, going through your day with intention, and ending your night knowing you stayed true to yourself. It’s enjoying your success without losing your soul, and chasing your dreams without sacrificing your health. It’s also about understanding that you don’t need everything—you just need what’s right for you.

What advice do you give to someone who feels like they’re behind in life or struggling to find direction?

Rico Handjaja: You are never behind. You’re simply moving at your pace. Comparison destroys joy and blinds you from seeing your own progress. Take one honest step toward yourself every day:

  • Reflect
  • Learn
  • Release what doesn’t serve you
  • Move with intention

When you do that consistently, your path begins to reveal itself. And once you align with it, opportunities appear that you never expected.

You’ve often said that when someone is ready, the universe starts opening doors. What does “readiness” look like?

Rico Handjaja: Readiness is not perfection—it’s willingness. It’s the moment when you stop blaming and start choosing. It’s when you trust your direction even if you don’t have every detail figured out. Readiness is an inner shift. When the shift happens, you don’t chase—you attract. You don’t force—you flow. That is when doors start opening.

And finally, Rico, what do you hope people take away from your teachings?

Rico Handjaja: I hope people learn to trust themselves again. I hope they dare to walk their true path, even if it’s different. I hope they find passion in the things that connect them to their soul. And above all, I hope they remember that a meaningful life isn’t built alone—it’s built by growing, giving, and walking with others. If you can live with authenticity, compassion, and purpose, you are already living your best life.
